PHASE 2, a Harlem-born Bronx artist, was a revolutionary voice for street culture and a pioneer of aerosol art and NYC subway writings, developing iconic bubble and wild style lettering. He was integral in putting Hip Hop on the map, creating the funky nous deco flyer ads that sparked the flyer craze, and influencing street art and style writing into the 90s.

One of the first aerosol artists to exhibit in galleries, his work laid the foundation for iconic 20th-century street and pop culture artists. PHASE 2 also introduced original crooning rap styles, urban fashion statements with colorful wool hats, and was the catalyst for forming the legendary B-boy crew, The New York City Breakers. His influence extends from Hip Hop’s beginnings to the CK logo and beyond, continuing to inspire creativity and social consciousness in the 21st century.
